WBENC’s mission is “to fuel economic growth globally by identifying, certifying, and facilitating the development of women-owned businesses.”

“We certify for both the corporate marketplace as well as for the government marketplace and we also provide opportunities for those parties to come together to do business,” WBENC President and CEO Pamela Prince-Eason told PBS’ nationally syndicated “News and Views” forum.

“It’s another honor for Bloom Medicinals of PA, LLC, to have earned this certification,” said CEO Nicole van Rensburg. “We take pride in having women in major leadership roles at Bloom Medicinals of PA, LLC. WBENC teaches up and coming businesses owned by women to become bigger players in non-traditional fields. The organization also provides marketplace access and during its events connects women-owned businesses with Fortune 500 companies.

WBENC’s certification is accepted by over 1,000 companies representing the most prestigious brands in America. WBENC is also an approved Third-Party Certifier for the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program.

According to the WBENC website, “WBENC Certification validates that the business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by a woman or women. To achieve WBENC Certification, women owned businesses complete a formal documentation and site visit process which is administered by one of WBENC’s 14 Regional Partner Organizations. WBENC Certification gives women owned businesses the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC Corporate Members and government agencies.”
