Nicole is a partner and co-founder of multiple medicinal marijuana businesses with 7 locations in 3 states. As CEO, Nicole spearheads decision-making on strategy and policy, and ensures a personalized approach to the delivery of value-based marijuana products. She has over 15 years’ experience in the healthcare field and is a recognized subject matter expert and industry leading authority. Nicole holds a BS in Business Administration from Emory University, and an MBA from Northwestern University.

William Hollander

Chief Operating Officer


William is a partner and co-founder of Bloom Medicinals, and an experienced operations executive leading the company in developing and implementing short/ long-term operational plans. As COO, William oversees all aspects of business operations from corporate management to facility build-out, and operational readiness through to the end user delivery of product. William has over 5 years experience in the medical marijuana industry with more than 10 years in healthcare operations, and holds a BBA from Florida Atlantic University.

Karen Hollander

Chief Administrative Officer


As CAO, Karen establishes administrative procedures, workflow systems, and keeps projects moving on time and on budget. Karen has over 40 years’ experience managing multi-specialty medical clinics, physician practices and healthcare diagnostic centers, and as an early pioneer in the HMO industry, she has helped navigate complex capitation structures and the integration of medical records compliance. Karen holds her LMT certification and is practice administrator for the family’s multi-specialty medical diagnostic companies, and several affiliated medicinal marijuana businesses.

Nate Hollander

Nate has over 40 years’ experience in the medical field and has built, owned and operated several large healthcare centers and medical diagnostic facilities. Nate has keen insight into the competitive landscape of the healthcare industry, changes in market trends, market segmentation, and new business opportunities, and oversees budgeting, capital allocation and cost controls. Nate holds a BBA from Temple University and an MBA from Suffolk University.

Peter Turco

Chief Compliance Officer


Peter is a healthcare attorney with licenses in New York, New Jersey and Florida, and serves as in-house counsel for both Bloom Medicinals and the Hollander family’s other healthcare companies. He works to ensure all companies stay in line with internal policies and designs controls to mitigate risk. Peter’s high-level of business acuity has been instrumental in sustaining long-term growth. Peter holds a BA in Political Science from Montclair State University and a JD from Seton Hall Law School.

RJ Starr

Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs


RJ is a seasoned regulatory and corporate compliance business leader with strong focus in healthcare, technology, pharmaceuticals, and health plan operations. He writes our applications for new market entry, creates regulatory documentation and programs, and ensures that all Bloom Medicinals entities remain in continuing compliance with the requirements of their state’s governing agencies. RJ studied Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado and holds a Master's degree in Theology.

Bill Honore

Head of Acquisitions, Business Development, and Community Relations


Bill heads our efforts to acquire real estate and other dispensaries as we expand into new markets. He also grows and maintains philanthropic relationships in the communities that we do business. Bill started as an organizational effectiveness consultant in the pharmaceutical industry before embarking on a storied career in commercial real estate acquisitions, specializing in acquiring complex multi-folio assemblages and condominium terminations. Bill holds a BA in Psychology from University of South Florida, and an MA in Organizational Psychology & Leadership from Columbia University.

Andrew Wagner

Head of Operations


Andrew has been with the company since its earliest days, starting out as a dispensary manager now overseeing multi-state dispensing operations including product procurement, inventory control, POS, staff training and vendor relations. As a former educator turned cannabis advocate, Andrew served as Communications Director for NORML’s Houston chapter (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws). Andrew holds a BS in Political Science and an MA in Communications from Illinois State University.

Adam Kastor

Regional Operations Manager


Adam oversees operations in multiple states for Bloom Medicinals and works closely with Joe. They support the development of new locations and assist in overseeing construction, hiring and implementation of strategy based on each individual state's regulations. Adam and Joe work together in developing the character for each new store based on each local community and establishing the Bloom Medicinals code of conduct and ethical culture. They are also directly involved in educating the staff and executing standard operating procedures. Adam holds both a BS and MS in Communications from Illinois State University where he also served as graduate instructor.

Joe Zinanni

Regional Operations Manager

Jose Patino

Head of Marketing


Jose manages all digital communications through the company‘s websites, email campaigns and social media platforms, ensuring that each affiliate company maintains its branding and messaging integrity, meets compliance needs and marketing goals. Jose has over 10 years’ experience in communications and marketing, beginning his career in the USMC in strategic communications planning and equipment installation and maintenance, and moving into television production and marketing agencies. Jose holds a BBA in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University, and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Traci Parrish Sanz

Head of Creative


Traci oversees Bloom Medicinals’ visual representation. Her responsibilities include the conceptualization, art direction and design of all branding, print collateral, packaging, social media, presentations, website layout and advertising. She also consults on marketing strategy, merchandising, dispensary interiors and store events. Traci has over 10 years’ experience as an art director, illustrator and senior graphic designer and has produced acclaimed work on global campaigns for leading brands and corporations. Traci holds a BA in Visual Arts from the Intercontinental University School of Art, and is a classically trained illustrator and fine artist.

Michael Sturgill

Head of Technology


Michael oversees the company’s day-to-day IT operations. He is responsible for coordinating technical infrastructure, developing proprietary in-house software, and managing inventory tracking system and technology vendor selection, all while ensuring an excellent patient/ customer experience. Michael has 12 years’ experience in marketing and technology and develops proprietary platforms and websites. Michael holds an AA degree with a focus on marketing and mathematics.

Karen Rothbaum

Human Resources


Karen is our Human Resource Coordinator with over a decade of experience in the administration of employee management. As the HRC she is the point of contact with on-boarding new employees, licensing and payroll assistance. She works closely with business partners in all aspects of HR including employee education and the implementation of company policies. Karen holds an AA degree with a focus on business administration.

Danielle Thongdy

Accounting


Danielle is our private in-house accountant. She maintains all financial transactions and records to prepare fiscal reports for each company across multiple states. Keeping up to date with current law, she ensures all entities comply with federal, state and local requirements. Danielle studied Accounting at Florida Atlantic University and is presently finishing the last year of her BA in Accounting with Western Governors University. She holds certifications with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.

Georgie

Chief Morale Officer


With five years experience boosting morale, Georgie ensures the Bloom Medicinals’ workplace is fun, productive, and satisfying. Although he spends most of the day sleeping under a desk, he also enjoys a game of fetch with his lambchop and lounging from lap to lap. Georgie attends all company meetings to ensure they stay on track. He does this by getting up and stretching as a gentle hint that the meeting has gone on long enough. George intends to pursue a degree as specialized security and protection dog once he gets a little bigger.

    May, 2014 -Midwest Compassion Center is formed for the purpose of becoming a licensed medical cannabis dispensary in the State of Illinois.
  • Maryleaf is founded

    June 2015 -MaryLeaf (Bloom Medicinals of Maryland) is formed for the purpose of becoming a licensed medical cannabis dispensary in the State of Maryland.
  • Midwest Compassion Center awarded its first license

    Late 2015 -The Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program awards Midwest Compassion Center its first medical cannabis dispensary license.
  • Midwest Compassion Center becomes operational

    March 2016 -Midwest Compassion Center becomes operational in Illinois, opening its doors to receive its first patients.
  • Maryleaf awarded its first license

    Late 2016-The Natalie M. LaPrade Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission awards Bloom Medicinals its first medical cannabis dispensary license.
  • 127 OH is founded

    May, 2017 - Bloom Medicinals of Ohio is formed for the purpose of becoming a licensed medical marijuana dispensary in the State of Ohio.
  • Bloom Medicinals of AR is founded

    June, 2017 - Bloom Medicinals of AR is formed for the purpose of becoming a licensed medical marijuana dispensary in the State of Arkansas.
  • Maryleaf becomes operational

    December, 2017 - Maryleaf, doing business as Bloom Medicinals of Maryland, opens its doors to receive its first patients.
  • 127 OH awarded maximum number of dispensary licenses allowable

    June, 2018 - The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program awards Bloom Medicinals of Ohio five dispensing licenses for the cities of Akron, Columbus, Maumee, Painesville, and Village of Seven Mile.
  • Bloom Medicinals of AR receives dispensary license

    January, 2019 - The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission awards Bloom Medicinals of AR a dispensary license for the city of Texarkana.
